Our Mission

Confidence online, at every age and at every step.

CyberTalkForBoomers.com exists because the internet should not feel like a test you can fail. We explain online safety in ordinary words, at a comfortable pace, and we never make anyone feel behind. Our community covers the tools you actually use — the internet, email and text messaging, and voice and video calls.

Accessible information and instruction, written for adults who did not grow up with computers.

02

Practical online safety, privacy, and security habits you can apply the same day.

03

Real answers about email, text messages, video calls, and the apps on your phone.

04

A judgment-free room where questions are welcome, however many times you ask them.

Start wherever you are. Every path teaches the same core skills: protect your information, recognise threats, and use technology without worry.

Why Boomers Trust Us

Patient teaching, honest advice, no pressure.

Plain language, always

Every lesson is written in everyday words. If something is unclear, we simply explain it a different way.

Patient and judgment-free

There is no such thing as a silly question here. Ask as often as you need to.

Steps you can use today

Each session ends with a short checklist you can act on before you close your laptop.

Privacy-first, always

We never sell your information, and we will never ask you for a password or payment detail.

Common Questions

Everything you might be wondering.

Do I need to be good with computers to join?

Not at all. Our workshops start from the very beginning and assume nothing. If you can turn on your device and open a browser, you are ready.

Are the workshops in person or online?

Both. We run in-person community workshops and live online sessions, so you can choose whichever feels comfortable for you.

What should I bring?

Bring the device you actually use every day — a phone, tablet, or laptop — so you practise on your own equipment and leave knowing your own settings.

Will you ever ask for my passwords?

No. We will show you how to create and store strong passwords safely, but you keep every password to yourself. That rule never changes.

How much do the sessions cost?

Community workshops are offered free through partner libraries and senior centres. One-to-one coaching and group bookings are priced separately — just ask us for details.
